Red Snapper are considered a high value species in the Gulf of Mexico, both in terms of ecology and recreation. The SWARA Reef sites, along with many others throughout the state and greater Gulf of Mexico area, have helped bolster their numbers and sustainability by providing critical habitat that is proven to help them grow and thrive.
